The Ultimate Brand Photo Guide for Realtors Who Want to Stand Out.

You’ve heard it all before – brand photos are important and necessary for real estate agents who want to brand themselves and connect with new clients.

But you might be struggling with HOW to take the best brand photos for your real estate business. You are unique, that’s why your clients love working with YOU. So it’s time to ditch the standard poses (you know the ones: laptop + blazer + ultra white kitchen) and use your brand photos to show off your personality.

Having fresh, unique, overflowing-with-personality, brand photos are a powerful way to stand out and connect with dream clients on social media and PR features. That’s why I made The Ultimate Brand Photo Guide for Realtors who Want to Stand Out!

Read on for tips that will help you capture brand photos that dazzle your potential new clients…

1. Take photos out and about

– at your favorite local businesses, restaurants, coffee shops, and anywhere else your clients enjoy hanging out on the weekends. Pro tip: don’t forget to shoutout local brands by incorporating their merch or storefronts in the background of your photos. Showcasing your favorite local hot spots (and tagging them in your posts) is a great way to show support, and you never know when a brand will return the favor by sharing your post on their business page… #freemarketing!

2. Show the REALITY!

It goes without saying… We like things extra pretty for photos. We wear our best clothes, typically put on more than everyday make-up, and think we need a picture perfect backdrop – but consider showing the reality of what your days look like.

For example, Catherine’s everyday life looks like eating her lunch in her car and going from a work-out class to a showing. We photographed the reality of just that and the comical effect is authentic and endearing!

3. Plan your photographs in homes that reflect your personality and style..

AND what the majority of your clients look for in homes.

Interior home shots are great (and let’s be honest, they’re to be expected for realtor branding shots). But at this point we’ve seen them all, right? I highly encourage making these photos unique to you.

Do you sell a lot of new construction? Show that! Do you help list a lot of older Victorian style homes? Show them! Do you help clients sell/buy a fixer upper? SHOW SHOW SHOW!

4. Working with a realtor is a personal experience.

Showcase your personality by taking photos that give a glimpse into your client interactions

Do you hug, handshake, or fist pump? Do you sign contracts in their home or over beers at a brewery? Do you talk over zoom, the phone, or always in person every chance you get?

Showing this part of the process helps potential clients decide if your personalities are a good fit, plus it relieves anxiety on their end because they know what to expect from you!

5. Show off the details

What does your client experience look like? Show off the details that make your client experience unique and personal. What do you offer as a closing gift? Do you have any other personal touches in your process that always surprise and delight your clients? Showing this part of the process can help potential clients make the jump!

6. Incorporate poses and facial expressions that help you share fun facts.

Sharing tips, insight, advice, and any sort of home education on your social media and blog platforms is a great way to showcase your expertise as a realtor and build trust. Be sure to incorporate some poses and facial expressions that help you share fun facts.

Think about celebrations, great news, little known facts, hot takes, and even appealing to the stressful side of purchasing a home. These photos can be highly relatable and break up an otherwise monotonous feed.

7. Show home exteriors!

The inside of a kitchen or living room can start to feel pretty generic after a bit. So when it comes to brand photos for realtors - don’t forget that home exteriors are also important and fun to share. This also helps open up another world of poses and things you can incorporate into your shoot - think porches/patios, gardens, front yards, and outdoor activities!
